Competitive pricing Once upon a time, a long long time ago, 8 year-old Jon was gifted an Apple Mac IIE Classic from a friend of his Dad but there was a small catch.
It was broken.
Jon carefully took the entire thing to pieces, cleaned it up, and discovered upon putting it back together that it worked!
From editing his school’s first newsletter, to setting up a web cafe in a time before WIFI, he’s always been interested in new technology and using it to improve the way things work. He started Crosstek on that principle: helping businesses use tech to make their lives easier, without hurting their wallets.

Born in South Africa, I’m an avid Springbok supporter and love to braai. I’m also a big Formula 1 fan, and very much into rugby union over rugby league! When I’m not running around after my two young children, I enjoy playing squash to keep fit – but when I do sit still, you’ll find me watching anything Star Wars, and rocking out to Guns ‘n Roses.
From a very young age Peter had an interest in computing, starting to write BASIC programmes at the age of just six years old! His favourite film is Once Upon a time in the West – which he describes as ‘the perfect Western with a cracking soundtrack’, but when he’s not doing his best cowboy impression or solving IT issues, you’ll find him outdoors.
James maintains that Star Wars Episode III is his favourite film, because it ‘has the second or third best lightsaber duel in the whole franchise.’ However, he’s also a fan of the earth sport known as ‘Football’, supporting Charlton Athletic. He was inspired to get into IT by the words of his granddad, who in 1998 assured him that ‘one day computers will be everywhere.’
By day Ellen is a musical-loving marketing whizz, by night she’s an aerial circus performer and lover of comedy clubs! She’s passionate about helping others to work smarter, not harder which is how she ended up working in the world of IT. Oh, and magicians – beware! As a kid she really loved stage magic, so she has a surprising talent for spotting the mechanics of a trick…
I’m never welcome in the office, and Crosstek are always on my case! Whenever I’m causing chaos in IT systems, it’s not long before Jon and the team have shut my efforts down.
